Rigidity is the first factor to be considered when selecting materials, because products need certain stability and wear resistance in actual work, and the rigidity of materials determines the feasibility of product design.According to industry characteristics, 45 steel and aluminum alloy are usually selected for non-standard tooling design; For the tooling design of machining, 45 steel and alloy steel will be used more; Most of the tooling design in the automation industry will choose aluminum alloy.

  1. How about material stability

For a product with high accuracy requirements, if it is not stable enough, various deformations will occur after assembly, or it will be deformed again during use. In short, it will be constantly deformed with the change of temperature, humidity, vibration and other environment. This is a nightmare for the product.

  1. How about material processing performance

The processing performance of materials means whether the parts are easy to process. Although stainless steel is rust-proof, it is not easy to process. Its hardness is high and it is easy to wear tools during processing. Machining small holes on stainless steel, especially threaded holes, is easy to break the drill bit and tap, which will lead to very high processing costs.

  1. Antirust treatment of materials

Antirust treatment is related to the stability and appearance quality of products. For example, 45 steel will usually be treated with “blackening” for rust prevention, or the parts will be painted and sprayed with plastic. 1.Vacuum Casting
